I am a paediatric exercise physiologist and I specialise in providing exercise intervention to children. I am able to work with children with a disability, injury or health condition and have extensive experience in the NDIS space. Working with children is what I do and I would love to help you and your little people be their best selves.
Childhood is a crucial time for development. Children with disabilities, developmental delays or injuries may find it hard to keep up with their peers. Exercise physiology can address these issues and give every child the chance to reach their potential. Georgia specialises in clinical exercise prescription for children starting from 3 yrs.
Sessions can be delivered in a variety of ways, including individually or in groups.
We are a mobile service and can complete home or site visits within the Wollongong region.
We specialise in understanding and engaging children to make sessions fun and goal oriented.
We can work with children who have physical disabilities or learning difficulties.
Sessions can be privately funded, covered by Medicare rebates, or paid for by the NDIS.
We will have a 15 minute consultation (free of charge) via Zoom where you can discuss your child's areas of concern and goals, to see if I am a good fit for your child's needs.
Once we have determined I can provide the support required, I will come to you to commence face to face appointments with a comprehensive initial assessment. This will include a physical assessment to determine your child's needs and abilities, so I can best create an individual plan and tailored program.
Time to get to work and reach those goals! I come to you and deliver personalised exercise physiology sessions as part of the management plan which I have designed, guided by you and your child's treatment goals and needs.
Exercise Physiology is the prescription of exercise as medicine. Accredited Exercise Physiologists (AEP’s) are university qualified Allied Health Professionals that use exercise to treat health conditions and improve quality of life. As an Exercise Physiologist, we specialise in clinical exercise prescription for children.
I specialise in working with the paediatric population and can see any child above the age of 5 years of age without a referral. A referral from a Paediatrician and/or Paediatric Physiotherapist will be required for children under the age of 5.
Exercise Physiology sessions can be privately funded, or depending on individual circumstances Medicare rebates or NDIS funding can be accessed.
Please note, we are not NDIS registered. NDIS funding under the "improved health and wellbeing and/or "improved daily living" categories of your capacity building support budget can be used to access allied health services.
For plan-managed NDIS clients we are able to bill your plan manager directly. For self-managed NDIS clients, please pay for your consultation in full at the completion of your appointment and we’ll email you your receipt for claiming.
